Digital platform for managing the semester football tournament of the Systems Engineering at ECI.
Summary
The Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Statistics programs hold an internal soccer tournament every semester in which students from different semesters participate. Although the activity has strong participation, its organization currently relies on manual processes: WhatsApp messages, isolated forms, and spreadsheets.
This way of managing the tournament generates disorder, delays, and confusion among participants and organizers. Many students are unfamiliar with the registration process, teams are completed late, payments are verified manually, and tournament information (dates, rules, results) is scattered.
TECHCUP FÚTBOL proposes the development of a web platform that centralizes the entire tournament management process, allowing students, team captains, and organizers to interact within a single organized and transparent system.
Problem
Currently, the tournament presents the following difficulties:
- The registration process is not clear for participants.
- Captains have problems completing their teams.
- Payments are not verified quickly and the process is manual.
- Results and the standings table are updated manually.
- Elimination brackets are organized by hand.
- There is no historical record or statistics for the tournament.
- Official information is scattered.
- This causes delays, administrative errors, and conflicts among participants.
General objective
Design and implement a web platform that enables the organized, centralized, and transparent management of the semester soccer tournament for the Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Statistics programs.
